Happy birthday to all of you!

Technology
Remember, starting the second week of October, the computer specialty class we will be learning email and Google Docs.  This is a great tool for students to be able to access their projects from anywhere without saving to a USB drive.  Parents will have an option of opting out.  We will be sending forms for parents to sign this week so please be looking for those.

Math
For math this week we will review addition with regrouping (up to 4-digits), rounding to the nearest ten and hundred, and up to 4-digit subtraction with regrouping.  Practice pages to review these concepts will be in your child’s homework folder to supplement math homework time.

Reading
This week we will be working on the cause and effect comprehension strategy.  We will also learn about plural nouns that end with –s and –es.  We will be sending home an additional homework page on Common and Proper nouns (we need the extra practice).  We will continue to work on writer’s workshop as well!  Thanks for all the hard work.  Keep it up!

The Great Brain Club
We are very excited to hear presentations of the great brain reports this week.  Your child has already signed up for a time to present their report.  Parents are welcome to come and watch their child’s report.
